a flame, photo challenge # 24

I really was hoping to stock up on some pictures so that I could actually complete the photo challenge in 40 days.  So these were supposed to be back up, emergency photos to use when it was getting down to the wire....but I haven't had the camera out since Saturday.  It's crazy how days go by so quickly. 

Nothing exciting about these pictures... except for that I took them after a few drinks, in the dark, with my off camera flash.  I'm just surprised that they turned out at all.  I couldn't decide which one to post since I don't really care for either one of them.  Just feel the need to check something off of the list.
